Portal 2, Gender Stereotypes

John Brown and I will be focused on the stereotypic gender traits portrayed throughout portal and portal 2. In addition, we will also be looking into the role reversal of humans and robots throughout the games. Specific gender characteristics are utilized especially within the cooperative aspect of the game. For example, Atlas takes the role of a male robot. His actions are more masculine, his voice is deeper, and his physical build is stouter and broader than his counterpart P-body. P-body shows feminine characteristics with her high pitched voice, long slender body, and her girlish manerisms.
